Maison O Thé

Dollard-des-Ormeaux

Welcome to our Cottage!

This store embodies the peacefulness and serenity all of us need amidst the bustling city and the chaos of daily life. As the owners newly discovered, adulting paired with parenthood is exhausting and fulfilling all at the same time.

The color green represents nature, calmness & relaxation. Having a place to ‘breathe,’ slow down and to enjoy the company of family, friends and even acquaintances is what Kenneth & Abygaelle aspire to provide.

Being new parents and having been exposed to this new level of adulting, they believe providing an escape without necessarily leaving the city or going into the wilderness is very important in order to re-charge and continue one’s adventure.

“Each day that passes shows that we are alive, but the question is: are we living? Or are we just letting the days go by and forgetting sight of what is important.. ourselves and our family.” - Kenneth & Abygaelle. One cannot pour from an empty container. Therefore, it is vital to step back, relax and recharge yourself in order to love, support and be there for the people that are important to you. Abygaelle believes that “a clear mind is a happy heart.” Once you feel re-charged, it’s game over for everyone as now your spark is back! And now you can conquer and do anything with that rekindled spark.

As MOT’s mission goes, we want to gather a community and together we become each other’s source of energy. Slowly building a relationship with the West Island community, Aby and Ken hope to create a place where people can de-stress by enjoying quality drinks paired by a calming & supportive environment.

A time spent with family and friends is a time well spent.

We get so caught up with work and other worldly things that we often take for granted the importance of people around us. If there's anything to take away from the pandemic we just went through, it's that nothing is permanent and everything can change in an instant; our job can disappear, our loved ones can be taken away just like that and whatnot. Let's not take this new chance for granted! Let's learn to be better members of the community, better friends, better siblings, better parents... there's no better time than the present to start acknowledging this.
